Clear Type Font Smoothing

Viewing web pages with Clear Type turned on smoothes jagged edges on text, allowing the viewer to read text in a more enjoyable way. This is mainly for liquid crystal displays (LCD), but CRT monitors will benefit from this as well. For Mac users, this feature comes as standard, however, PC users with Windows XP will have to turn on Clear Type.

If you use Windows XP or later, turn on Clear Type by doing the following

1) Right-click the desktop and choose Properties.
2) Choose Appearance tab and click Effects button.
3) In the drop down menu, select Clear Type
